Is TiBook Payroll included in the free plan?

No. Startup is GST invoicing, quotes, inventory, and basic reports. Payroll is on SMB at ₹199/month, in the same company as your invoices.

Is there a separate employee app?

No. Staff sign in at the same TiBook URL. Users whose company role is employee land on Home and Me (Attendance, Leave, Profile, Team, Finances). Wall is on phones only. Owners keep Back to TiBook for the dashboard.

How does attendance connect to salary?

Employees punch from Me → Attendance (desktop) or Home (phone). Admins still mark the daily grid (present, absent, half-day, leave, week-off). Finish attendance, then run payroll for the period. Gaps change net pay.

Can staff punch from anywhere?

Yes. TiBook does not geofence punches. Employee-role logins wait on a device whitelist until an admin approves the phone, so a shared password cannot roam freely.

Does this handle night shifts and week-offs?

Shifts have start, end, break minutes, and weekly offs. Roster assigns who works where, including a break override for that day. Overnight and rotating packs that need a dedicated engine are not a separate product — use the shift and roster you configure.

Do you calculate PF, ESIC, and TDS?

No. TiBook generates slips and records that you paid. Statutory deductions and challans stay with your CA or the government portals. We do not pretend to e-file.

How are leave requests handled?

Employees apply from Leave with dates and a reason. Managers and payroll admins approve from Inbox or Leave requests. Approved leave reduces the credited balance and marks attendance. LWP is a company default for unpaid absence.

Can I run monthly and daily staff together?

Yes. Each employee has a salary type and cycle — monthly, weekly, or daily. Run the period that matches how you pay, after attendance for those days is done.
