What it is

What is wholesale billing software?

Wholesale billing is volume: many lines, transport, and a party that buys on credit. A kirana POS is the wrong screen.

TiBook sales invoices take long line lists, HSN, discounts, additional charges (freight), and delivery notes. Godowns keep warehouse quantity separate from a shop floor if you also retail. Outstanding is the credit book.

No e-way generation. No automatic GST return filing. Recurring is Enterprise.

Creating a long GST invoice for wholesale in TiBook

Why it matters

What wholesalers need that shops do not

Volume, credit, and a challan on the truck — not a barcode gun as the main path.

Invoices with fifty lines

A kirana POS is the wrong screen. You need item search, quantity, party rate, freight, and a PDF the retailer will accept for ITC.

Stock in more than one godown

Warehouse quantity is not the shop-floor number. Mixing them is how you sell air.

Goods move before the tax invoice

Delivery challans exist in GST for a reason. E-way is a government document. They are not the same PDF.

Credit is the product

Outstanding is the business. If unpaid invoices live in Excel, collections are a rumour.

How to

How to bill wholesale in TiBook

    1

    Add items and HSN

Catalog with tax groups. Default rate on the item; change the line when the party has a special rate.

    2

    Add retailer parties with GSTIN

One party per bill-to. Opening balances if they already owed you on day one.

    3

    Raise the sales invoice

Long lines, discounts, freight as additional charges. Prefixes so numbers stay unique.

    4

Print a delivery challan when you ship first

Own document type and series. Put the e-way number on after you generate it on the portal.

    5

    Record purchases and godown stock

Purchase invoices increase quantity. Use locations so the godown is not the counter.

    6

    Collect on outstanding

Payment in against the party. Reminders when phones are on file. We do not file GSTR-1.

Product

Wholesale workflows

1. Long GST invoices

Item search, quantity, rate, line discount, document discount, freight as additional charges. PDF or WhatsApp share.

2. Godowns

Locations so warehouse count is not mixed with a retail counter. Transfers stay in inventory.

3. Delivery notes

Delivery challans for movement. E-way bill numbers can be stored for print. TiBook does not generate e-way bills on the NIC portal.

4. Credit and outstanding

Party outstanding and payment in. Reminders when phones are on the party. TiBook Agent can list who has not paid.

5. Purchases and returns

Supplier bills increase stock. Credit notes and sales returns keep the chain auditable.

6. Same books as GST filing prep

Sales and purchase reports for the CA. We do not submit GSTR-1. Recurring is Enterprise.

What to look for in wholesale billing software

  • Long invoices without a POS-only UI

Wholesale is a voucher, not a scan gun — unless you also retail.

  • Challan ≠ e-way

If a vendor sells them as one button, they are overselling.

  • Party rates without a full scheme engine

Line rate changes are enough for many traders. FMCG schemes may need a DMS.

  • Credit you can collect

Outstanding from unpaid invoices, not a coloured cell.
