GST e-invoice

GST e-invoice software — what TiBook does not do

A GST tax invoice and a GST e-invoice (IRN) are not the same document. TiBook prints the first. It does not mint the second.

IRN

Government JSON — not in TiBook

What it is

What is GST e-invoice software — and what TiBook does not do?

Search “e-invoice software” and most pages pretend every GST bill is an IRN. E-invoice is a government JSON posted to NIC/GSTN that returns an IRN and QR. It is mandatory above a turnover threshold — check the current CBIC notification with your CA.

TiBook is commercial GST billing and books. We do not call the e-invoice API. If you are in the mandate, generate the IRN where the law requires, then keep the same sale in TiBook for inventory, outstanding, and reports.

No IRN, no IRP cancel, no e-invoice QR from GSTN. No GSTR filing.

GST tax invoice in TiBook is not an IRN e-invoice

Why it matters

Why we say this on a marketing page

Ranking for “e-invoice” by lying

Gets you a penalty, not a customer.

Many shops never hit the IRN threshold

They still need a correct tax invoice. That is us.

Signed PDF confusion

A signature image is not an IRN and not a DSC.

Turnover rules change

Check the current CBIC notification with your CA. We will not quote a threshold that will rot.

How to

How to use TiBook if you also need IRN

    1

    Bill in TiBook as usual

    GST tax invoice, stock, outstanding.

    2

If you are in the mandate, generate IRN where the law requires

GST e-invoice portal or a registered GSP.

    3

    Keep the sale in TiBook

Inventory and books. Store the IRN in a note if you need it on the print — do not pretend the PDF is NIC-signed.

    4

Do not confuse signature upload with e-invoice

    See add signature to invoice.

Product

Use TiBook alongside IRN, not instead of it

1. Tax invoice

GSTIN, HSN/SAC, tax split, signature image, PDF. What most MSMEs need below the IRN threshold.

2. IRN (not in TiBook)

Generate on the GST e-invoice portal or a GSP.

3. DSC

Uploading a PNG is not applying a Digital Signature Certificate.

4. Books still matter

Even with IRN elsewhere, outstanding and stock live here if you keep the commercial invoice in TiBook.

What to look for

  • GSP or IRP mentioned by name

If they generate IRN, they should say how.

  • Turnover honesty

Mandate is not “every GST bill”.

  • A tax invoice product for everyone else

    That is this company.

Who it is for — and what it is not

Businesses checking whether they need IRN software. If you do, keep a GSP; keep TiBook for day-to-day books if that split works for you.

Not for

No IRN, no IRP cancel, no e-invoice QR from GSTN. No GSTR filing.
