How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Accounting → Trial Balance.
- 2Set the as-on date (usually month-end or year-end).
- 3Confirm total debits match total credits. Investigate any account with an unexpected balance.
- 4Click an account name to open its Account Ledger (
/accounting/account-ledger/:uuid). - 5On the ledger, review opening balance, each posted voucher, and closing balance.
- 6Export or share with your CA for audit, tax filing, or bank reconciliation.
Trial balance in one line
It is a snapshot of every ledger’s balance on a date. If it does not balance, an unposted journal or a one-sided edit is usually the cause.
Account ledger detail
The ledger is the statement of one account — every debit and credit that touched it, with references back to invoices, payments, or journals.
Run trial balance before you lock a month — cheaper than fixing April in July.
Compare bank ledger balance to your actual bank statement; differences mean missing or duplicate entries.
