How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Banking from the sidebar (or go to Banking).
- 2Click Add account to create a new cash or bank account.
- 3Choose Cash for the till or petty cash, or Bank for a current / savings account.
- 4For bank accounts, enter bank name, account number, IFSC, and account holder name.
- 5Add a UPI ID if you collect payments on that VPA.
- 6Set the opening balance as of your start date in TiBook.
- 7Mark one account as primary if most receipts and payments should default to it.
- 8Save. Future Payment In, Payment Out, and transfers can post against this account.
Transaction ledger
Each account has its own ledger: receipts increase balance, payments decrease it. Open the account to see every linked entry and the running balance.
Beta note
Banking is evolving β core payment recording still works from Payment In and Out even if you have not added every bank yet. Add accounts as you need clearer cash-vs-bank splits.
Use separate cash accounts only when you truly keep separate tills (for example shop counter vs godown petty cash).
IFSC helps your CA match NEFT/RTGS lines on statements.
