How this looks in TiBook

How to

  1. 1Open Reports and choose the Purchase Summary tab.
  2. 2Pick your date range.
  3. 3Review purchase totals: bill count, taxable value, input tax, and net purchase amount.
  4. 4Use this before paying suppliers to see how much you have already booked in the period.

Purchases vs expenses

Purchase Summary includes purchase invoices (inventory and supplier bills with GST). Casual expenses logged under Expenses appear elsewhere — usually in P&L, not here.

Returns

Purchase returns and debit notes in the range reduce the summary. Make sure returns are entered, not just deleted bills, so ITC and stock stay honest.

Reconcile Purchase Summary with supplier statements before a big payment run.

Missing bills inflate profit — enter purchase invoices as you receive them.
