How this looks in TiBook

How to

  1. 1Open an active table or takeaway order on Restaurant POS.
  2. 2Add or change line items. New dishes appear in the pending cart.
  3. 3Click Send KOT (or KOT) to push the new items to the kitchen queue.
  4. 4Choose Print KOT if you use a thermal printer in the kitchen β€” layout follows your Print settings.
  5. 5If the kitchen did not get paper, open the order and Reprint KOT for the same batch.
  6. 6Only items not yet sent appear on the next KOT β€” already-fired lines stay marked as sent.

Why KOT before settle

KOT tells the kitchen what to cook now. Settle is when you charge the guest and post the sales invoice. Splitting them keeps service fast and billing accurate.

Send KOT after modifiers are chosen so the kitchen sees the full instruction once.

Keep the kitchen printer on the same network as the POS device to avoid delayed prints.
