How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Payroll and go to the Attendance view (daily grid).
- 2Pick the date or navigate the calendar to the day you are marking.
- 3For each staff row, set status β present, absent, half-day, or leave (labels depend on your setup).
- 4Work through the whole team for that day, then move to the next date if you are catching up.
- 5Review the week or month summary if shown β gaps block accurate payroll.
- 6Save or confirm each day. Attendance feeds into monthly, weekly, or daily salary calculations.
Why daily marking matters
Payroll uses attendance to prorate salary when people miss days. Marking once at month-end is slower and easy to get wrong.
Managers and roles
Only users with access to Payroll should edit attendance. Floor staff do not need Payroll rights if one person owns the roster.
Pick a fixed time each day (opening or closing) to mark attendance while memory is fresh.
If someone joins mid-month, add them first under Add staff, then mark from their start date.
