How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Enable Payroll from Apps if you have not already.
- 2Open Payroll from the sidebar (/payroll).
- 3Click Add staff (or the equivalent on an empty roster).
- 4Enter name and phone — phone helps you reach them and appears on slips.
- 5Set designation and department so reports group people the way you organise the shop.
- 6Choose salary type, cycle, and amount (monthly, weekly, or daily — configure detail in the next article).
- 7Save. The employee appears on the roster and in the attendance grid.
Who belongs in Payroll
Add anyone you pay on a fixed schedule — shop staff, drivers, office help. Contractors you only pay through purchase bills may stay as parties instead.
Editing later
Salary changes mid-month should be saved before you run payroll for that period. Past slips keep the amounts they were generated with.
Add everyone before the first attendance day — blank rows are harder to fix after the month ends.
Match department names to how you think about cost centres (“Store”, “Warehouse”, “Admin”).
