How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1On Add item or Item details, turn on Manage stock for products you count.
- 2Enter opening stock and the opening stock date β usually the day you moved books to TiBook or fiscal year start.
- 3Save. Sales, purchases, and returns move quantity automatically when invoices are saved.
- 4After a stock take, open Items and click the yellow stock adjustment action on the row.
- 5Choose Set Actual Stock to type the counted quantity, or Add / Reduce Stock to enter a plus or minus change.
- 6Pick a reason, add an optional note, check Accounting Preview, then Post Adjustment. Quantity moves immediately β it does not create a sales invoice.
Opening vs adjustment
Opening stock is the starting point on the opening date. Adjustments fix drift β damage, theft, found stock, or counting errors β without faking a sale or purchase.
Batch and serial items
If the item uses batches or IMEI/serial tracking, adjustments may ask which batch or serial numbers changed. See Batch and IMEI tracking for setup.
Run opening stock before your first sale so the first invoice does not show negative quantity.
Always add a short note on adjustments β your accountant will ask why quantity jumped.
