How this looks in TiBook

How to

  1. 1Go to Items and open Import (toolbar or empty state when the catalog is empty).
  2. 2Download the sample Excel template if shown β€” match column headers exactly.
  3. 3Fill rows with name, type (product/service), prices, HSN/SAC, tax group, units, opening stock, and other columns you use.
  4. 4Upload the file. TiBook validates rows and flags errors (duplicate name, bad tax group, missing unit).
  5. 5Fix errors in the sheet or skip bad rows, then confirm the import.
  6. 6Review Items β€” imported lines are ready for invoices, POS, and stock reports.

Before you import

Create tax groups and categories in Settings first so the sheet references names TiBook already knows. Images and custom fields may need a second pass in the UI.

Updating existing items

Imports usually add new rows. To change an old item, edit it in TiBook or follow the import guide for update-by-name if your template supports it.

Start with fifty rows, import, and bill one item β€” then run the full catalog.

Same trick works for parties β€” see Import parties if you are migrating both lists.
