How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Go to Items from the sidebar (or mobile More β Items). If the catalog is empty you see Catalog empty β click Add item.
- 2In the stepper, pick Product for physical goods or Service for work you sell without stock.
- 3Enter the item name. Add sale price and purchase price β toggle with tax or without tax to match how you quote.
- 4Choose HSN or SAC, assign a GST / tax group, and pick the primary unit (piece, kg, hour, etc.).
- 5For products, set stock, opening stock date, and turn on Manage stock if you want quantity to move with invoices.
- 6Optionally add wholesale price, MOQ, category, image, description, and custom fields, then save.
Product vs service
Products can track stock, batches, and barcodes. Services bill on invoices but usually skip quantity tracking unless you enable it for time-based lines.
After you save
The item appears in Items and in every invoice, quote, POS, and purchase screen. Edit it anytime from the row menu or from Item details.
Add one real item you sell every day first β the Quick Start checklist and your first invoice both need it.
Sale and purchase prices are defaults; you can still change the rate on a single bill.
