How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Billing & Spending β Sales β Sales Invoice (or Purchase Invoice).
- 2Click Scan document. Choose a clear image or PDF of the bill.
- 3When OCR finishes, a SUCCESS dialog confirms the receipt was saved as a draft. Click Done.
- 4Review the yellow banner: Draft from scanned document β not saved yet. Check the source file name and βnew item(s) will be created on save.β
- 5Pick Bill To, fix line items, tax, and dates. OCR can miss handwriting or poor photos.
- 6Click Save to create the invoice, or Discard on the banner to throw away the draft.
What scans well
Printed GST tax invoices and typed PDFs work best. Crumpled thermal slips and heavy stamps may need manual entry. Scan is available for sales and purchase invoices β not for quotes or challans.
Your responsibility
Always verify totals, GSTIN, and HSN before saving. OCR speeds data entry; it does not replace your check before issuing a legal invoice.
Shoot in good light with all four corners visible. One invoice per photo gives cleaner results.
