Convert a quote to a sales invoice

When a quote is accepted, raise a tax invoice with the same party and items — duplicate the quote or create a sales invoice from the agreed lines.

How this looks in TiBook

How to

  1. 1Open Billing & Spending → Sales → Quote and find the accepted quote.
  2. 2From the row menu, choose Duplicate to copy party, items, rates, and terms into a new draft.
  3. 3Alternatively, create a new sales invoice and reselect the same customer and items manually.
  4. 4Change the document type by saving under Sales Invoice (/voucher/sale/create) — not as a quote.
  5. 5TiBook assigns the next sales invoice number and prefix (not the quote number).
  6. 6Update invoice date, due date, and any quantities that changed after negotiation.
  7. 7Save, then share the PDF or public link as your formal tax invoice.

No automatic one-click conversion

TiBook does not replace the quote record with an invoice in one hidden step. You duplicate or create a sales invoice so both documents stay in the audit trail — quote for what you offered, invoice for what you billed.

Good practice

Reference the quote number in invoice notes (“As per quote QT-104”) so your customer and CA can tie the papers together.

If the quote had tax off for an estimate, turn Tax on before saving the final invoice for a registered sale.
