How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Billing & Spending → Sales → Quote (
/voucher/quote). - 2Click Create and select the prospect or customer.
- 3Set quote date and validity if you track it in notes or terms.
- 4Add line items with quantity, rate, discount, and tax — same grid as sales invoice.
- 5Write terms (payment timeline, delivery, quote validity) in the terms block.
- 6Save the quote. Download PDF, email, or WhatsApp it from the voucher view.
Quote vs tax invoice
A quote is not a statutory tax invoice. It helps you win the order. When the customer confirms, create the sales invoice (see Convert a quote to invoice).
Numbering
Quotes use their own prefix and series — configure under Settings → Company → Manage Prefixes so QT- / EST- does not clash with INV-.
Use the quotation visual theme on PDFs — your Print Settings invoice theme still styles the layout.

- Convert a quote to a sales invoiceWhen a quote is accepted, raise a tax invoice with the same party and items — duplicate the quote or create a sales invoice from the agreed lines.
- Document number prefixesSet INV-, QT-, PO-, and other prefixes per document type so sales, quotes, and purchase series stay separate and audit-friendly.
- Add a customer or supplierCreate a party with name, email, mobile, tax IDs, addresses, opening balance, and custom fields from the Parties screen.
