Enable Retail POS
Turn on the POS app from the Apps catalog so your team can bill at the counter with search, payments, tax, and thermal print.
How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Open Apps from the sidebar (or go to /apps).
- 2Find POS in the catalog and click Enable.
- 3After enable, POS appears in the sidebar. Open /pos to start a counter session.
- 4Make sure you have at least one item and one party in the books β POS reads from the same catalog as invoices.
- 5Optional: open POS in fullscreen from the screen controls for a dedicated counter display.
- 6Invite counter staff with a salesman or manager role so they can open POS without full admin access.
Retail vs Restaurant POS
POS is for retail counters β search items, pick a customer, take payment, and print a receipt. Restaurant POS is a separate app for dine-in, takeaway, KOT, tables, and modifiers. Enable the one you need, or both.
Before the first bill
Set company profile, taxes, and print settings first. Items with images and barcodes show faster at the counter. See Bill at the counter for the daily flow.
POS and invoices share stock β a sale from POS reduces the same quantity as a sales invoice.
Desktop or tablet-sized screens work best for busy counters.
