How this looks in TiBook
How to
- 1Go to Parties and open Import from the toolbar.
- 2Download the template spreadsheet and copy your contacts into the required columns (name, mobile, email, GSTIN, customer/supplier flags, opening balance, etc.).
- 3Clean duplicates in Excel β two rows with the same name confuse imports.
- 4Upload the file. TiBook shows row-level errors (invalid GSTIN format, missing name).
- 5Fix or skip bad rows, then confirm import.
- 6Open Parties and spot-check a few names, balances, and GSTIN lookups before you bill.
What imports well
Names, phones, emails, GSTIN, PAN, addresses, opening balances, and customer/supplier type. Custom fields may depend on template columns.
After import
Imported parties are immediately selectable on invoices. Run GSTIN lookup on key B2B accounts if the sheet only had numbers without addresses.
Import parties and Import items in the same migration weekend β then one test invoice closes the loop.
Keep a backup of your Excel file; TiBook will not replace it if you delete a party by mistake.
